The Secretary of State to the Ambassador in France (Bullitt)

48. Your 132, January 25, noon. Any information that you may be able to furnish as to progress of negotiations will be of assistance to the Department in formulating plans for our eventual negotiations [Page 856] with the French Government. In this connection it is pertinent to mention that the British Foreign Office has been most helpful in keeping our Embassy at London advised of developments and it is possible that the British Delegation in Paris may be willing to continue this cooperation.
