The Army resolved that the Assembly is not representative of the people whereupon early this morning General Enriquez1 forced the resignation of Paez2 and assumed the supreme power pending the convocation of a new assembly duly elected by the political parties. It is rumored that there is division of opinion in the armed forces and that further developments may be expected.
