- This Consulate has today been informed that the Mayor upon asking the Generalissimo to confirm alleged instructions to destroy Japanese properties in Tsingtao, was instructed not to take any such action.
- 2.
- Absolutely no change in the situation in Tsingtao but newspaper reports of heavy artillery firing near Tsinanfu have alarmed local Chinese people in this port. However, these reports according to a reliable source in Tsinanfu are not accurate. In fact, today has been absolutely quiet in Tsinanfu.
