1. The local Japanese spokesman has announced that the Japanese occupation of Taiyuan was completed this morning.

2. Press reports indicate that Changteh in northern Honan on the Peiping–Hankow Railroad is now occupied by the Japanese (Embassy’s 728, November 5, 4 p.m.⁵)

Repeated to Nanking, by courier to Tokyo.
