The Secretary of State to the Vice Consul at Barcelona (Flood)

Your telegram of June 16, 3 p.m., in regard to the S. S. Ciudad Barcelona. From the information in possession of the Department, it would appear to be extremely unlikely that any airplane engines of American manufacture were on the ship and almost inconceivable that there could have been 800. Telegraph any further information which you may receive in regard to this matter.77
