The Secretary of State to the Ambassador in Mexico (Daniels)

No. 857

Sir: The Department duly received your despatch No. 2756 of July 23, 1935, relative to the problem of interference in certain amateur frequency bands and encloses for your information copies of its letter of August 2, 1935,77 to the Federal Communications Commission and of the commission’s letter of August 16, 1935,77 in reply thereto. You will observe that the Commission concluded that “in view of the apparent futility of making further representations to the Mexican authorities on this matter at this time, the matter may be laid aside”.

Very truly yours,

For the Secretary of State:
R. Walton Moore
