251. Your 149, May 10, 3 p.m. Inquiry reveals no intention that formal notice shall be taken of Japanese allegations regarding political activities of the Committee. However, there seems to be a certain amount of dissatisfaction with Rajchman’s alleged political activities in China and if this dissatisfaction finds expression in the Committee a debate of a political character may ensue. Mayer will, of course, have your instructions constantly in mind. Meeting set for Thursday afternoon.50
