Your 223, January 12, 2 p.m.³⁰ If you receive notification of meeting of Committee for technical cooperation between the League and China, with invitation to attend, Department desires that you give an informal acceptance and attend in an absolutely informal and strictly unofficial capacity. Department is instructing Paris to send you text or substance of instructions issued to Marriner³² in connection with his attendance in July, 1933, at meeting of this Committee.³³
