American Consul General Tientsin informed me by telephone today that Japanese have filed another protest with chairman of Hopei Provincial Government, General Yu Hsueh-chung, against stationing of troops and entrenchments in neighborhood of Tientsin and near Tangku as a violation of the Boxer protocol.
