- Japanese Government apparently has made no formal notification. Tokyo informs us that information in regard to recognition was given out there in the form of a public statement. Apparently no official notification to Embassy. Here, the Japanese Embassy has simply handed an officer of the Department a copy, without covering note or memorandum and without comment, of what appears to be a mimeographed press release.
