The Minister in Switzerland (Wilson) to the Acting Secretary of State

87. From the Secretary. Your 52, April 21, 6 p.m. The preoccupation which you express under number 2 is I believe covered by article 10 of draft resolution, text of which follows:

“Notes with satisfaction that the said Commission will in accordance with its decisions watch in such manner as it deems best the carrying out of articles 1, 2 and 3 of which the last named provides for the complete withdrawal of Japanese forces as before the incident of January 28.”

Committee of Nineteen is awaiting definitive word from the Japanese Government and plans to call a session only upon receipt of such answer.82 [Stimson.]
