Italian Chargé d’Affaires has received a telegram from the Italian Ambassador in Tokyo to the effect that he understands whatever the Chinese reply may be with regard to proposed Shanghai conference the Japanese Government will continue to consult with the interested powers and will not resume hostilities so long as Chinese forces do not come within 20-kilometer zone.
