Your despatch 307, December 19.2 Is the Department correct in understanding that the proposed new tariff provides for a single schedule to which goods of American origin will be subject until February 17, 1931, after which date, failing the conclusion of a commercial convention between the United States and Egypt, goods of American origin would automatically be assessed double the general tariff? Please confirm.
