British Minister this morning invited Japanese and German representatives and myself to discuss situation at Tsinanfu. Consensus of opinion was that representations had best be limited to reminding both sides of their responsibility to do everything possible for the protection of foreign residents. British and German Ministers, who had as yet taken no action, stated their intention to follow course taken by this Legation as reported in the Legation’s telegram under reference.

British Minister also expressed his intention to advise his nationals in the Tsinpu area32 in accordance with Adams’ warning to American nationals as reported in the Legation’s No. 402, June 4, 4 p.m.
