53. The Minister for Foreign Affairs expressed surprise that the Commission has not initiated proceedings for the prolongation of the time for the negotiations. He believes more time should be granted so that the work of the Commission may be efficient and effective and that to discontinue or close the negotiations this coming September too soon and prejudicial to the cause of peace.
