The German Ambassador has the honor to acknowledge with pleasure the esteemed note of the 17th instani—622.11241/25[34]—of His Excellency the Secretary of State of the United States with respect to the interpretation of Article 27 of the Treaty of Friendship, Commerce and Consular Rights concluded between the German Reich and the United States, December 8, 1923, and wishes to reserve the right of making a further communication on the subject.71
