330. For Department of Commerce from commercial attaché:
“Decree published August 31 and effective September 660 provides many tariff increases in chemicals, pottery, glassware, paper goods, machinery, leather, electro, technical, photographic goods, cutlery, hardware, scientific instruments, and other schedules specified in commercial treaty with Germany signed August 17 granting minimum rates. New minimum rates considerably higher and new general rates four times minimum. Many substitutions of ad valorem for specific rates.”
