Excellency: I have the honor to acknowledge the receipt of Your Excellency’s esteemed communication of March 22, 1927,17 informing me that the trip of His Excellency General Gerardo Machado, President of the Republic of Cuba, to the United States of America has been definitely fixed for April 20, 1927.
In reply I have the honor to express the pleasure with which the announcement of President Machado’s intention to visit the United States has been received, and to assure you of the sincere welcome which will be accorded His Excellency by the Government and people of the United States.
