Embassy’s number 39, September 7, 8 p.m. The Department today discussed the ratification of the Colombian treaty with the Peruvian Ambassador and manifested to him the interest of this Government in the matter and the hope that this question would now be finally disposed of. He said he would cable his Government immediately. You may take up the matter with the Foreign Minister and, at your discretion, with the President, should you have a favorable opportunity.
