30. Your 12, January 18, 7 p.m. My 26, January 25, noon.9 Have just received a note from Foreign Office stating that Government permits the proposed crossing of German territory and possible landings in Germany during the flight around the world. German Government likewise permits carriage and use of photographic apparatus over German territory on condition (1) course and time of flight be notified in advance to the German Government, (2) that no photographs be made of fortifications at Ingolstadt and Ulm, and (3) that a copy of each photograph made during flight over German territory be supplied to German Government. Government adds that it will be glad to support and facilitate undertaking in other respects also.
