114. The Chinese Director of Telegraphs wishes to know when Federal Company’s representatives will probably reach China as in accordance with Washington Conference agreement he is arranging to take over foreign wireless plants in China. He desires telegraphic reply. The Director believes it is possible to use some of this equipment in construction by the Federal Telegraph Company and with others out of the fight thinks the prospects are especially favorable for the Federal Company. It is considered important by the Legation that the despatch of its agents to China to start construction and other work should be hastened by the Federal Telegraph Company.
