Continental and Commercial Bank states that it has received a telegram from the Ministry of Finance stating that “coupons and commission May last $165,825. will be paid when we receive salt surplus in June and July.” Bank requests that the Legation bring this matter to the attention of the Chinese Government shortly before the salt releases are made so that the commitment will not be overlooked.
