Sir: Referring to the Department’s telegram No. 36, August 23, 1922, 5 p.m. I have the honor to report that the Federal Minister for Foreign Affairs has asked me to lay before my Government the request of the Austrian Government to release within the terms of Public Resolution No. 46 of April 6th, last, the Austrian assets pledged as therein referred to, in order that, so far as available, they may be utilized as security for the proposed external loan contemplated by the Geneva Agreement of October 4, 1922.10 …
