Memorandum
The British Merchant Marine Act and the regulations issued thereunder provide that all British ships must carry on board, as part of their medical stores, specified quantities of wines and spirits.
It will, of course, be understood that British ships must continue to comply with British law in the same way as United States ships must comply with the law of this country.
