33. You will transmit to President Chamorro the following message from the President:
“It is with great satisfaction and gratification that I learn that Your Excellency was enabled by the meeting on board the U. S. S. Tacoma to arrive at an agreement with the Presidents of El Salvador and Honduras with a view to maintaining amicable fraternal relations of good will and peace among your countries. It was a great pleasure to be able to assist this conference in any way, and I [Page 426] assure you of the continued interest of the United States Government and people, as well as my own personal interest in the welfare of your country.
