If you have not already done so, the Department will be glad to have you make arrangements with the British Government for the Military Attaché to be placed in touch with any British prisoners who may escape from Germany in order to ascertain from them all possible information regarding American prisoners in Germany, including names, whereabouts, treatment, condition of camps, receipt of food packages, etc. Report by cable all important information that may be obtained in this matter.
