1728. My 1713, February 19, 3 p.m.1 In personal interview at my house this morning the Minister for Foreign Affairs authorized me to advise you that he believes his Government’s reply to your communication No. 1551, February 14, 5 p.m.,2 re the Ancona and Persia incidents will be satisfactory to the American Government. The Minister asks for a few days’ delay in making his formal reply. I know that Minister for Foreign Affairs is doing all in power to keep good relations with you.
