1. The American Red Cross, between Dec. 31, 1908, and Nov. 23, 1909, transmitted through the State Department, and other channels of communication, the sum of $90,755.69 for the relief of the earthquake sufferers. The Christian Herald transmitted through the Department of State $35,000.
