Sir: I have the honor to acknowledge the receipt of your note of the 10th instant, by which, in accordance with instructions you have received from your Government, the Government of the United States [Page 1110] is invited to be officially represented by delegates at the Second Peace Conference which is to convene at The Hague on the 15th of June next.
I beg you to be so good as to inform your Government that the Government of the United States accepts the invitation with great pleasure, and that it will at an early date communicate the names of its delegates.
