San Salvador , February 12, 1907 .

I have had the honor to receive the transcript your excellency was pleased to send me of President Roosevelt’s telegram to the Presidents of Honduras and Nicaragua interposing his good offices to the end of obtaining a pacific settlement of the difficulties pending between the two Republics, and I am glad to inform your excellency that President Escalon once more addressed Presidents Bonilla and Zelaya to-day, tendering them again his friendly mediation to that purpose.
