Sir: Your dispatch No. 324, of the 3d instant, relative to the decree admitting American pork into Germany, has been received.

The Department learned with great satisfaction from your telegram of the 3d instant that the German Government, by a friendly act of simple justice, had terminated the exclusion of American pork from Germany. Thanking you for the very cordial and efficient manner in which you have cooperated with the Department in bringing about this happy result,
