Sir: I have the honor to inform you that Señor Don Claudio Vicuña, who on the 8th instant was nominated as the candidate of the Liberal party for the Presidency, has resigned the position of minister of interior, and that Don Domingo Godoy, hitherto minister of foreign relations, has been appointed thereto, his place being Med by the appointment of Don Ricardo Crusat.
