Sir: Referring to my dispatches Eos. 482 and 487 of the 8th and 26th ultimo, respectively, I have the honor to report that I have now received from the prime minister, His Highness the Eminé Soultan, official notification of the arrival in Teheran of the prisoner Minas and of his incarceration.
Though desirous of availing myself at the earliest moment of the leave of absence you had so kindly granted me, I have not felt at liberty to take my departure until after Minas should have reached here and been safely delivered over to the custody of the authorities at this capital.
