Sir: I acknowledge the receipt of your instruction No. 67 of May 29 last, in which you direct me to maintain the validity of the acts of Consul Vifquain in the matter of the Smith estate in Colon.
Dr. Roldàn informed me this morning, himself introducing the subject, that he would discuss the matter with me as soon as possible, probably within 3 weeks, and that he thought, we should have no difficulty in coming to an understanding.
