summary

By a vote of 45–6 (Yugoslavia, and Soviet bloc)–5 (Afghanistan, Haiti, Israel, Syria, Yemen), the GA Sept. 29 approved the GC recommendation for inclusion in the agenda and allocation to Committee 11 of the Chinese charge that the USSR was threatening the [Page 197] political independence and territorial integrity of China and peace in the Far East.2
