summary

By a vote of 45–6 (Yugoslavia, and Soviet bloc)–5 (Afghanistan, Haiti, Israel, Syria, Yemen), the GA Sept. 29 approved the GC recommendation for inclusion in the agenda and allocation to Committee 1¹ of the Chinese charge that the USSR was threatening the political independence and territorial integrity of China and peace in the Far East.²
