2468. According Bond,⁶⁴ CNAC company now moving maintenance other equipment Hong Kong with view establishing main base operations there if eventually necessary. Should Government change hands, all CNAC flight equipment will be flown Hong Kong pending clarification CNAC status, as Chinese airline CNAC would hope continue operations China under either fully Communist or coalition government. Bond says PanAm presently plans, if in accord US Government policy, endeavor retain its interest CNAC should strictly Communist government evolve.
