Editorial Note
On August 21, 1948, David E. Lilienthal, Chairman of the United States Atomic Energy Commission, spoke at the Preview Supper for the Opening of the Atomic Energy Exhibit at the New York City Golden Jubilee Exposition. His remarks contained acknowledgment that the United States had continued wartime cooperation with Britain and Canada in atomic energy development, in certain limited areas.
