Agri officials verify that soft wheat could be bought on West Coast at cost including transportation $105 long ton but point out cost #2 hard wheat bought Kansas City would come to about $123. Relative cost to Peru of Arg and US wheat would presumably have to take into account matter of quality.
Position on question shipment wheat US to Peru has not changed from that communicated in Deptel 152 Mar 15 [25]. Third quarter allocations have also not yet been considered for any country and will not be developed until after recommendations have been developed with regard world distribution pattern in IEFC.
