Urtels 733 Oct 10, 738 Oct 13.²⁸ Maffry Eximbank Oct 29 informed Peru Commercial Counselor by letter that “Board Directors has given new consideration to matter (reference Bank’s letter Sep 23²⁹) and has reviewed with Dept conversations held with Formin in July regarding offer settlement made by Peru Govt to holders its defaulted obligations. Dept has informed Bank that these conversations removed obstacle which had heretofore stood in way consideration by Bank of Peru loan applications. Accordingly Bank is prepared consider proposals for financing projects in Peru on their individual merits”.
