New Times 27th reports Than Tun Communist Party hag announced intention of participating in elections46 and also desire “to work in unity with AFPFL to make elections successful also to prevent opportunist Mahabama, Myochits, Thakins and others from wrecking Constituent Assembly”. Statement continued “we desire to put an end to civil strifes which are likely to help imperialist”. Statement concluded said Times “Communist Party would not oppose AFPFL but would contest only in those places where party had a strong majority.”
