General Marshall to Brigadier General Thomas S. Timberman, at Peiping

1518. As the movement of supplies is a less critical factor from standpoint of time than the collection of Communist students for training, I feel that the best plan Reurad 814761 is to wait further development before making a decision on the location of the school. I do not anticipate being able to decide when the school should be opened at least until a termination of hostilities order is agreed to and issued. In the interim I also feel that we will have to retain the secret classification of this program as 130062 indicated.
