1403. Unless you perceive some reason for not doing so please seek occasion to make it clear that although this Govt would of course welcome visit by Tsaldaris to US it feels it would be unfortunate for him leave Greece this critical time in order present the national claims at CFM. It seems to us task of broadening govt and endeavoring to strengthen Greece internally is most important one that can face a Greek PriMin at present time.
Brit Emb has informed Dept that similar UK views have been expressed to Greeks by your Brit colleague.
