736. Reference my 640, April 12, 11 a.m., regarding reregistration of trademarks. I mentioned this matter April 25 to Foreign Minister7 and Political Vice Minister8 who inquired what is being done in other countries where reregistration may not be readily possible due to war time conditions. If information on this point is forthcoming from Department, I believe we may be able to do something here to alleviate the situation.
