7998. ReEmbs 7965, September 25, 7 [6] p.m.89 The Shipping Agreement will be laid before Parliament at 3 p.m. London time Thursday September 28 according to the Foreign Office. The draft press statement forwarded in the Embassy’s 7913, September 23 will be released at the above time. The Planning Committee made some slight changes in the press statement in order to place slightly [Page 704] less emphasis on the British and American role and give somewhat more credit to the other United Nations but in general the release will be as forwarded.90
