3320. From the Under Secretary. Your 4413, October 27, 6 p.m. According to information obtained from the War Department, the Munitions Assignments Board has approved the assignment of 18 of these planes for delivery in October and 10 in November. They were in process of manufacture for the British and before delivery can be made to Brazil, they must receive certain additional necessary accessories. This work is now being completed, and every effort is being made to expedite the delivery of these airplanes to Brazil. [Welles.]
