1114. Reference despatch 4600, March 27, from Embassy Buenos Aires. Aranha9 remarked to me today that the Argentine Acting President’s son is interested in purchasing Lati planes; he said it might be a good thing to let him buy a few. I told him that I definitely did not agree. He then said that he would not permit the sale of any of the planes to the Argentine.
