The Executive Committee of the Export-Import Bank today approved your recommendation for a credit to be extended on 400,000 Spanish long tons of sugar. The Committee fixed the rate of interest at 3.6 percent. You are requested to put forward an additional clause whereby amortization would be speeded up if the world sugar price rises to 1.5 cents.
