216. From the Under Secretary. Your 311, October 30, 6 p.m.45 I have spoken this morning with the Bolivian Minister regarding this question. He is communicating immediately with his Government and is reminding them that a formal commitment to this Government was made in writing covering the termination of the services of the Italian mission in October 1941. The recommendations in your telegram will be given immediate consideration. [Welles.]
