487. I called on the President of the Republic60a this morning to thank him for the wholehearted cooperation being given by the Panamanian Government. He said that the Panamanian Government and people are one hundred percent with the United States come what may. He said that he had been talking this morning with members of the National Assembly who were unanimous in their intention to vote a state of war with Japan as soon as the United States took such action.
