53. Embassy has received a report that during an audience which the Secretary of the Fascist Party in Albania had with the Duce6 on January 9, the former tendered his resignation. The Duce insisted, however, that the Secretary retain his post adding that the present situation in Albania would soon undergo a change for the better as the Germans had promised to extend military aid.
